Welcome to Winthrop Candle Co! We are so glad you are looking around our website.

We’re the Sheaffers, and our story began around the kitchen table in Little Rock, Arkansas. What started as a simple idea to spend more time together as a family quickly grew into something more — a business built on creativity, craftsmanship, and the joy of making something with our own hands. Along the way, we are teaching our kids the ins and outs of running a business and the value of creating products that bring warmth and joy to others’ homes.

All of our products are handcrafted right in our kitchen, with each family member — even the kids — playing a part. Whether it’s helping mix scents, placing labels, or packing up orders, everyone contributes to the process. It’s a true family effort, and every item we make carries a little piece of home, care, and love from our family to yours.

The name "Winthrop" holds a special place in our hearts. It symbolizes our family's journey (adoption and multigenerational household) of coming together. It represents love, friendship, and community, which are at the core of who we are.

One of the things we love most about making candles is that there’s truly something for everyone. While scent preferences can vary wildly — what one person loves, another might not — we’re confident you’ll find one that feels just right for you.
